We've got answers

What is included in the consultation?

We understand that it can be hard to find the time to book an appointment to see a doctor face-to-face, that's why we created an online consultation. The consultation is a text-based consult between you and your GP. Your GP will review your responses to the skin quiz that you complete and reviews the photos you upload to your profile. Your doctor may ask you more questions to ensure they have a good understanding of your skin concerns and your medical history. If you have further questions or if you would like a follow-up consultation with the doctor then just ask, at and we will arrange this for you.

How much does it cost?

Software is a subscription service. We send you your treatment every 8 weeks, which costs $88.00. You can cancel, pause or delay at any time and there are no cancellation fees.

The treatment is a bottle of cream that contains prescription-grade ingredients, specifically formulated for your skin. If you need to refill early or delay your next treatment then just email us on

Software is a subscription because achieving your skin goals takes time - you need to be consistent and persistent with your treatment. The clinical studies indicate that most people will only start to see improvements at 8 weeks, so we recommend that patients stay on their treatment for longer.

Cost of the consultation

The cost of the consultation is separate to the cost of the treatment, it is $29.00. This includes the initial consultation with the doctor plus any follow up questions and additional consults required.

How is each treatment personalised?

Each treatment is personalised to meet your skin concerns. Software doctors treat acne and signs of ageing. Your skin concerns should be clearly communicated through the Skin Quiz and the photos provided to your doctor.

Software offers a variety of active ingredients - retinoids, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, antibiotics (if needed for acne) and others. Your doctor will determine which ingredients are best suited to treat your skin concerns, and at what strength they are required.

All advice and patient prescriptions are based on clinical evidence and studies.

Can I use my other skin care products with my treatment plan?

It is recommended to pare back your skincare regime when starting prescription-grade acne and anti-ageing treatments to minimise irritation. If you use lots of actives such as acid peels, retinol and other treatments, we recommend that you stop using these for the first 2-4 weeks of using your Software treatment, until you know how your skin will react to the Software treatment.

Our doctors recommend that you only use:

1. a gentle cleanser to wash your face;

2. a hydrating, non-comedogenic moisturiser; and

3. an SPF30 or 50+.

After a few weeks of using the treatment, and if your skin is not experiencing any side-effects, then you may slowly reintroduce other skincare products.

Our doctors recommend QV, La Roche Posay and Cerave products. If you have any questions about your skincare plan then please contact us, at
